Your Siemens motor 1FT5074-0AC01-2-Z will be carefully evaluated by experienced technicians to determine if it is faulty.  Motor Ke (back e.m.f.), brake torque, the Hall effect sensors, and tach generator will all be tested with a variety of diagnostic instruments.  After disassembly and cleaning, the windings will be checked with a digital surge tester, and DC hi-pot.  Critical mechanical dimensions will be measured with micrometers, and all test results become part of the permanent record of the motor in our database. If the motor winding has failed, the old winding will be carefully reverse engineered before being stripped with a mechanical stripping method that prevents any damage to the insulated core. A new winding utilizing class H magnet wire and all class H insulation will be installed, and the PTC thermistors will be replaced. If the motor shaft has failed or is worn, we’ll replace it with a new one precision ground to the factory dimensional tolerance. Worn mechanical components will be fabricated or re-furbished by our expert machinists.  New bearings, seals, and any other required parts will be installed during assembly, and the Hall effect sensors and tach generator will be correctly aligned with the motor emf.  Mechanical assembly tolerances such as shaft and flange runout will be verified to be within factory tolerances.

Finally the motor will be test run with a Siemens servo controller. The motor will be checked for excessive noise or temperature, and vibration levels recorded.  All test data becomes part of our database, and a link to the final service report will be emailed to you upon request. If you’ve had your Siemens motor 1FT5074-0AC01-2-Z “repaired” by someone less experienced or equipped and it still doesn’t work, or didn’t last as long as you expected, it’s not too late! Send it to Endeavor Technologies to be completely rebuilt to factory specification today.

Back to Siemens listing...
Rebuilt to new spec, but without the OEM hassle. Endeavor Technologies completely remanufactures Siemens spindle motors and servomotors. Failed windings, broken shafts, seized bearings, non-functioning brakes, bad encoders and resolvers are no problem because of our extensive in-house capabilities and parts inventory. Unlike most "repair" shops, we incorporate actual Siemens servo amplifiers into our test stands. There is no doubt that your motor and encoder have been fully tested, and meet Siemens' specification for a new motor.

Our test procedures are the best and most thorough in the industry. Many "repair" shops can't run servo motors at all, and can't run spindle motors at full speed. A Siemens motor rebuilt by ETI has been test run, closed loop with the encoder, to full speed. Water cooled and / or oil-air lubricated motors are tested for extended periods of time with cooling and lubrication systems similar to those used on machine tools, until bearing temperatures stabilize. Vibration levels are monitored and verified to be within Siemens' specification, not just a general standard for the electric motor repair industry. Each rebuilt motor is checked to ensure that it conforms to the factory assembly tolerances, not just an industry norm for general purpose motors. Slippage is a common problem with brake motors. Every Siemens brake motor is torque tested after being rebuilt to ensure it holds at least the factory specified torque.
